PassSecurium™ browser extension

How can the PassSecurium™ browser extension (PBE) improve your user experience on the Web?

Many password managers offer browser extensions for auto-filling forms on websites. Our PassSecurium™ is no exception. This valuable feature speeds up work and reduces the number of routine actions. We have tried to make this process safe and convenient.

Below you will find out everything you need to get started using our PassSecurium™ browser extension.

To use the PBE, the user needs a PassSecurium™ password manager account. Users have opportunity to register their accounts on this website or through the mobile apps.

The WEB folder in the password manager folder tree is intended for work with the PBE. The extension can only use passwords which added to the WEB folder, which provides additional security to the passwords not being used for auto-filling on websites. Business subscription users with the Manager rights can also share additional folders and passwords for using in the browser extension by general users.

The extension is available for the following browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Edge. Support for the Opera browser is coming soon.

After installing the PBE, you should log into your PassSecurium™ account through the extension.

PBE saves your credentials on the first login on a website and saves them in the WEB folder. Then it uses saved credentials for auto-filling in the login form on the corresponding website. Look at picture 1 and picture 2.

You can also add a password manually to the WEB folder right in the extension. Import of multiple passwords can be carried out by uploading a .csv or .xlsx file. Import is only available in the web version of PassSecurium™ on the “Settings” tab.

Free and Standard users can access the web version of the password manager via the link:

Premium and Corporate users should follow a link of this type:

Using the browser extension has the following benefits:

2. Centralised storage enables access to passwords through different browsers and devices immediately after logging into the extension.

3. You can optionally use a PIN-code in the extension to confirm filling in a form with your credentials.

4. Feedback form in the extension helps you to report any occurred problem.

5. In the business versions of PassSecurium™, users with the Manager rights can add folders and passwords for the use on the web.

6. The extension login can be additionally protected with one-time passwords (6-digit codes generated by an authenticator app like AccessSecurium™ for Adroid and iOS).

Two-factor authentication (2FA) can be enabled in the user portal for the Free and Standard versions:

2FA settings for the Premium and Corporate versions of PassSecurium™ can be accessed in an administration cabinet via a link of the following type:

In the Enterprise version (when PassSecurium™ is a part of the SWISS SECURIUM® platform), 2FA can be enabled in a Controlium cabinet, which can be accessed via a link of the following type:
